Objectives:In the context of a prospective cohort study, the aim of the present study was to describe the efficacy of azithromycin and doxycycline as well as to determine if the use of azithromycin was associated with changes in the patient's sex characteristics, while also considering the patients with the condition.

Results:The results of the study showed that azithromycin and doxycycline were effective in the reduction of erectile dysfunction (EF) in patients with the following conditions: age over 30, female gender, and the presence of at least one of the following conditions: (1) diabetes mellitus, (2) chronic myocardial infarction (CMI), (3) hypertension, (4) heart failure, and (5) cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Conclusion:The results of the study indicate that azithromycin and doxycycline are effective in treating the male-to-female sexual dysfunction in patients with the following conditions: age over 30, female gender, and the presence of at least one of the following conditions: diabetes mellitus, heart failure, and CVD.
